101 RANCH 1ST GEN SAA 44-40 WCF 4.75” BARREL HISTORY LETTER BUILT IN 1910

Description:
101 Ranch Colt SAA 44-40 WCF revolver 
4.75" barrel (period replacement from a bisley model frontier six shooter)
Bore is very good with strong rifling and light frosting in the grooves
Action functions as it should and is well timed
All pins and screws are in excellent shape
Grips are in very good original condition with wear from use
Built in 1910


Col. Joe Miller (owner of 101 ranch with his brothers Jack & George) presented this revolver to Paul M. Montgomery (Monty) while he was a special agent for the Santa Fe Railroad in Ponca City Oklahoma from 1925-1927 for the many favors did for Col. Miller and in appreciation for his loyal service (letter from family member of Monty written in 1953 included). 


Neat piece of 101 ranch history in very nice condition, great addition to any Colt SAA or 101 Ranch collection.
