Offered here is an exceptionally attractive Colt Single Action Army revolver chambered in the highly desirable and comparatively scarce .44 Special caliber. Serial number SA38184, manufactured circa 1984 in Hartford, Connecticut.

This revolver features the classic and hard-to-find 4¾-inch barrel configuration with a beautiful high-luster factory nickel finish. Standard SAA features include the fixed blade front sight, frame-notch rear sight, checkered hammer spur, bird’s head ejector, and an excellent set of original black Colt “Eagle” hard rubber grips with embossed American eagle and Rampant Colt motifs. The black grips contrast beautifully against the bright nickel finish and give the revolver a very classic late-Frontier Colt appearance.

The revolver retains approximately 99% original factory nickel finish, showing only minimal superficial handling marks. The metal is exceptionally clean with no rust, pitting, or abuse noted. Bore and chambers are excellent with bright rifling. Action is smooth and crisp with proper lock-up. An increasingly collectible modern Colt Single Action Army, especially in the desirable .44 Special chambering, which has developed a strong following among Colt collectors and shooters alike. The 4¾-inch nickel guns have outstanding eye appeal and are becoming harder to locate in this level of condition.
