Description:
Standard configuration Colt Anaconda double action revolver chambered in .44 Magnum with serial number MM71676, made 1995, featuring a 6" barrel and stainless steel construction. Pinned, orange ramp front sight and fully adjustable rear sight with white outline notch. The left side of the barrel is marked "COLT ANACONDA" with ".44 MAGNUM" below, while the right side bears "DOUBLE ACTION REVOLVER" along with Colt address and manufacturing information. Serial number MM71676 is marked on the frame with matching number on the crane. The revolver is fitted with black rubber Pachmayr grips featuring finger grooves and gold Colt medallions. Complete with original blue plastic carrying case bearing Colt logo including instruction manual and whose end label references make, model, barrel length, finish, caliber and matching serial number. Built on Colt's robust 'MM' frame, the Anaconda was introduced in 1990 to compete with established .44 Magnum contemporaries including the Smith & Wesson Model 29, Sturm Ruger Redhawk and Blackhawk, and the Dan Wesson Model 44. The Anaconda represented Colt's late entry into the large-bore handgun market, arriving some 35 years after many competing models had already established their market presence.
Condition:
Excellent original condition with a few scattered handling marks and a light cylinder ring, comparable condition grips, a mirror bore, and correct manual mechanics. Crisp original shipping box with factory literature and end label whose identifying information includes the matching serial number.
