Here for sale is the 'Final Prototype' developed by Colt to launch the Colt Anaconda line of revolvers. This part of the Colt Snake Revolver History has never been on the market until now. This is Final Pre-Production Prototype Made! This prototype was produced in the Colt Model Shop located in the Hartford Factory and was the first prototype machined on a CNC machining center. This edition introduced the new Anaconda Double Action Revolver chambered for .44 Magnum cartridge to the Colt product line. The standard features of this model include a full-length ejector rod housing, ventilated rib barrel and transfer bar safety system. Colt Engineer, Kevin Langevin was part of the design/development team. This historic revolver was offered to Kevin By Colt CEO, General Keys, for his excellent design work on the CM901 .308 rifle.
