Colt Model 1860 Army .44 caliber revolver. Civil War issue. .44 Caliber. All numbers match including the wedge. Bore has strong rifling and scattered corrosion like most issued Civil War revolvers. Action works and indexes perfectly. Grips are very good with a clear cartouche on left side and a faint cartouche on the right side. Cylinder scene is very good and about 70% very clear. Brass has nice mustard color untouched patina. Barrel address is sharp and clear. Overall this is a nice well cared for 1860 Army. The blue has gone but shows no evidence of buffing or polishing. Sometimes you find a very nice revolver like this that is very sharp and the blue is gone, possibly from storage in bad climate? Fine revolver with very fine cylinder scene.
