Rare Colt 1862 Police Trapper Model (C11540)

Description:

Rare Colt 1862 Police Trapper Model. In The Book of Colt Firearms by R. L. Wilson, on page 174, there is a picture of an identical example. They note that these are special order Snub Nose models and between 25-50 were the estimated production. This gun has the “Shield Device” to hold caps in place so they did not fall off. Very scarce gun!
