*Sale Pending* - VERY RARE COLT FIRST MODEL FLUCK DRAGOON
Description: These are named after the guy who did all the research about this model, John Fluck. These were replacement guns for all the failed Walkers that Colt had sold to the Ordinance Department. They all fall in serial range of 2216 to 2515. About 300 of them were made. This one is #2400. It has the correct inspectors marks on the loading lever, bottom of the barrel and other various parts. These don't match the serial number but instead were applied to identify it as one of the re-worked guns. The serial number is smaller than usual and the Colt patent US markings are further back on the frame. These were some of the differences found between the Fluck Dragoon and the Colt first model Dragoon. There are visible traces of the cylinder scene. Overall metal is basically a plum/brown color. A few minor dings and light pitting. All numbers including the US markings are crisp and sharp. Mechanics is good. Grips have a couple of chips out. Comes complete with an Article of Authenticity from Mr. John Fluck written in 1956 for the September issue of The American Rifleman. Also includes a letter and description from Jackson Arms discussing the revolver. This a fine piece of American History.
