1849 COLT LONDON ADDRESS 6" POCKET REVOLVER

Description:
1849 Colt London 5 shot Pocket Revolver. Desireable 6" barrel. Serial No.10601. This revolver was produced in Hartford around 1861 from parts shipped back stateside after London Plant closed in 1857. This revolver has no British proof marks as it was produced here. Although made here, it is in the late-late London serial range as it was already serialed in London but not finished or assembled. Shipped back to Hartford sometime after 1857. London iron trigger guard and backstrap. Revolver has 94-95% original high polish blue on barrel and cylinder. Frame, hammer, and loading lever has all case colors. 96% silver on trigger guard and backstrap. 3 of the 5 safety pins are perfect. Cylinder scene is 100% and perfect. Very strong action. Hartford style grips have 98% original finish. Screws are all about perfect with all original finish. I believe this revolver fired very little, if at all, as some blue left in chambers and a very strong bore. A fantastic 6" Pocket made for the Civil War in Hartford Connecticut. A VERY RARE variation of the 1849 Pocket. If you collect pockets, you won't find to many like this. Please call 973-214-3407 with questions
