An Early Civil War Colt Model 1849 Percussion Pocket Revolver With A 4 Inch Barrel In Its Original Factory Case With Accessories In Very Good Untouched Condition. Serial #206,826, made in 1862. All matching numbers, all original and complete. The revolver has very good metal, & markings throughout including the the cylinder scene. It also has nice edges and a 4 inch barrel on it. The barrel and cylinder have an even & natural patina with some areas showing original blue. The frame, hammer and loading lever also have a nice plum patina and show darkening case colors on them. All of the screws are fine throughout. The original factory grips are excellent throughout with a wonderful color and retain most of their original factory varnish on them. This Colt Revolver has a nice action and bore. The original case is fine throughout including the original burgundy lining & outer wood shell case. It has a nice "Colt's Patent" iron pocket revolver bullet mold, an early untouched double sided Eagle Powder flask, & original cap tin with "ELEY BROS./LONDON" stamped on it. it also has its original key in it. The original outer wood shell Is fine plus throughout with no cracks or warping to it. This Is Very Nice Example Of An Early Civil War Factory Cased Colt Model 1849 Percussion Pocket Revolver With A 4 Inch Barrel That Would Be A Nice addition To Any Collection. These Early Colt 1849 Pocket Revolvers Were Often Bought & Carried By Both officers & Enlisted Soldiers On Both The North & The South During The Civil War!
