Cased Colt 1851 Navy Revolver w/Accouterments
Description: A fine cased Colt 1851 Navy Revolver, 4th model...circa 1864...serial # 172,500...about 70% of the blue on the barrel and lug...some darkened case colors...all matching including the wedge and cylinder pin...missing the wedge screw...the top of the loading lever is broke right on the end where is latch is, less than a 1/2 inch, the latch works fine...beautiful bore with no dark spots...excellent lands and grooves...excellent cylinder scene...excellent front sight and excellent grips. The case is in great shape, carved European walnut...probably made in France or England or made here of European walnut...definitely a period case...the back hinge on the left has 2 intials...T.W...with serifs...probably the case maker. It has a period 36 caliber mold, a period nipple wrench & screwdriver...a Hawksley flask for a shotgun...2 reproduction cartridges boxes and cleaning rod and powder measure. The are some 44 caliber dug bullets. This Colt 1851 works like it is new! This is how I found this cased Colt 1851 Navy!
