CASED NIMSCHKE ENGRAVED 1860 COLT ARMY
Description: Has carved Ivory grips and is beautifully engraved in the typical Nimschke style. Cylinder is engraved rather than the rolled die battle scene. Superb condition with about 90% silver and 25% orig gold gilt on the cylinder. Has the "Wolf Head" engraved hammer and high polished blued screws. Gun is nicely cased with silver plated percussion flask and bullet mold. The gun has an interesting star stamped on the right side of the trigger guard which indicates it went back to Colt for refinish. Beautiful gun inside and out.
