Description:
6 shot percussion revolver with 6 inch octagon barrel in .31 caliber with a very good bore. Barrel is mostly gray/brown patina with traces of original blue. Good markings. Casehardened frame, hammer and loading lever all have faint traces of color with the balance blending to a gray/brown. This one is a First Type with the loading lever and brass trigger guard. Stagecoach hold-up scene on the cylinder is very good. Walnut grips are in good condition and still retain most of their original varnish with only a few minor handling mars. Action functions correctly. These were made from 1850-1873 and this one was made in 1864. Not a bad old Colt.
