Colt 1860 Army 44 caliber Commercial Model made 1863
Description: ******* Offers welcomed and entertained ******* Colt 1860 Army 44 caliber percussion revolver, 6-shot rebated cylinder, 8" round barrel, brass front sight and trigger guard, steel back strap, blued barrel, case-hardened frame and loading lever, plain trigger, walnut grips, serial number 140008, made 1863, no military inspection marks and no cartouches, "44 CAL" marked on left side of trigger guard indicating commercial sale, possibly bought personally and used in the Civil War. CONDITION: Brass trigger guard is a pleasing, uncleaned mild ochre. All blued and case-hardened parts are a mix of light patina and worn/soft gray, with some staining and pinprick pitting in spots that do not interfere with the markings, which are quite clear. The action is crisp, holds at half and full cock, indexes perfectly on every cylinder. Original grips are a little worn and shy of the straps but intact. All numbers match except for the wedge, which is not numbered but matches in condition to the rest of the revolver. Grades NRA Antique Good and is a representative piece of Colt firearm history. TERMS: No international sales and no sales to Alaska or Hawaii. Antique so it can ship directly to you, assuming your local laws allow it, so driver's license to show proof of 21 or older is required.
