Colt 3rd Model Dragoon .44 (C15021)

Description:

Colt 3rd Model Dragoon .44 caliber revolver. Made in 1851. Revolvers surface has gray patina with some areas of surface pitting on the metal. The brass backstrap is inscribed “Presented to David K. Torrey Colt Agent Mexico City January 9th 1851”. Colt sent agents to Mexico after the war to generate more sales. Grips have a Mexican Eagle cartouche and shows an old crack repair on both sides.
