COLT 3RD MODEL DRAGOON REVOLVER
Description:
6 Shot Percussion Revolver with 7-1/2 inch round and part octagon barrel chambered in 44 caliber. This has the extra pin and the cut-away at the back of the frame for the shoulder stock. Overall gun has been cleaned and re-finished a long time ago. Looks good with most of the re-finish blue remaining. Frame has case colors with a brass trigger guard. Nice functioning action. Cylinder serial number is fairly light but the rest are visible and in the 16k range. Barrel wedge is most likely a replacement. Blade front sight. Rear sight is missing. Grips could be replacements. I'm not sure. This is a good looking gun. These were made from 1851-1861.
