COLT 3RD MODEL HARTFORD ENGLISH DRAGOON IN THE 200 SERIAL RANGE

7-1/2 inch barrel chambered in 44 caliber with a very good bore with crisp rifling. English proofs on the cylinder and left side of the frame with New York address on the barrel. This is a nice example of one of only 700 "Hartford English" dragoon revolvers that were produced for the British market in their own serial range. These are basically Third Model Dragoons that was assembled at Colt's London factory with unique serial range 1-700. Metal surfaces are a gunmetal gray/brown patina. Backstrap and triggerguard show an old cleaning to the brass that is a shiny patina. A few replaced screws. Walnut grips are in fine condition and retain some old varnish that has been applied. All matching numbers including the wedge. Nice functioning action. This is good example of a low production variant for your Colt collection.
