#4825 Mexican copy of the Colt 1877 D/A 6”x38COLT “Lightning” revolver, 21XXX range(1889), typically non-functioning action on both S/A and D/A, VG bore (about a “7”), 90% original nickel, VG hard rubber grips. Absolutely GREAT holster comes with this handsome gun, it is a skirted “Texas Double Loop” with a lot of tooling and brass stud ornamentation; a VERY showy holster! The revolver itself is one of the best copies of this model Colt that I’ve ever come across, and at first glance almost anyone would think it is a genuine Colt. It is so good, it most likely is a Colt authorized licensed copy. And as with most guns of this condition, it could certainly be repaired by a good gunsmith-machinist, but these D/As can be very frustrating guns to work on, so it is best that someone considers it as a collectible, display piece, or representative antique of the turbulent 1880s SouthWest. The holster alone is almost worth the price of the set! Except for the funky mechanics, it is near Excellent. $950
