#4947 Colt S/A 7-1/2”x45, 80XXX range (1882) with VG+ bore

Description:
#4947 Colt S/A 7-1/2”x45, 80XXX range (1882) with VG+ bore (7+) and fine tight action with all the clicks on the hammer. Light scattered pitting overall, correct half-moon ejector head, VG markings, and VG standard wood grips. Under the ejector housing and up near the ejector boss on the barrel, it has some unusual markings “C-40 THDS”. The “C” is the factory inspectors marking, but what all the other marks might be is anyones guess. A very decent early 1880s Single Action with a nice bore and tight solid action. About VG-VG+ as described. $3150
