#4950 Colt S/A 7-1/2”x45COLT, 89XXX range (1883), fine bore and action. The metal is very nice for its age and WELL above average for what is basically a no-finish gun, and it has almost no pitting or serious wear anywhere. The overall look is well above what one usually sees for an old cowboy Colt, but suffice to say this (…and this is a VERY important fact!!)…that since many, if not most Single Actions have been restored, enhanced, and/or “juiced-up” to some degree (this is especially true of the very highly sought after and desirable military S/As), so buyers should always take the possibility of some degree of restoration into consideration. This gun has been valued and priced with that possibility in mind. This is a very, very attractive old Single Action, but does need the ejector housing barrel lug resoldered, as it has been pulled out due to having the ejector housing screw tightened too aggressively.There are a lot of photos to this VERY desirable early 1880s Civilian S/A, so if they all don’t load (there are about 15 in all), just email me and I will forward them to you by return email.
