#4992 Colt 1877 D/A 2-1/2”x41COLT

#4992 Colt 1877 D/A 2-1/2”x41COLT This rather uncommon Colt “Thunderer” was factory fitted with the very desirable and relatively scarce 2-1/2” barrel length whereas most of these ejectorless models were fitted with the more common 3-1/2” length, 41COLT caliber. And being made without the ejector system,. this model has often been called the “Storekeeper Model” by collectors. Smooth action that miraculously still works VG on both SA and DA modes and has a VG bore; made in 1883 (matching 42XXX serial range). The exterior has a smooth thin brown patina with some good traces of bright blue in the more protected areas (but probably being less than 5% overall), VG markings, very decent grips that have no chips or cracks but do have about 40% wear to the checking. About VG+. $1375
