#5002 Colt S/A 4-3/4”x45COLT, 101XXX (made in late 1884)

Description:
#5002 Colt S/A 4-3/4”x45COLT, 101XXX (made in late 1884) and having a VG bore (about a 7 on a scale of 10). Tight lock-up and in fine tune with all the “clicks” on the hammer, VG mostly smooth metal with a dark plum brown patina and just scattered light to moderate pitting, VG screw heads, correct two-line barrel address, and VG markings with normal wear in the usual places. The wood grips are near fine, but do appear to be newer replacements and have some forestrap showing due to a poor fitting. Overall it is still a very handsome little short-barreled .45 in above average condition for a 135 year old Colt. $2395
