Colt Blackpowder Single Action. Manufactured approximately 1896. Gun has matching numbers. The action is crisp and indexes perfectly. The bore has rifling but not much. Bore is well worn. Grips are well worn. This pistol had to have been used by some old cowboy who used it every day. You can’t wear grips this smooth or wear out the bore this much without a heck of a lot of real daily use. The amazing thing about the grips is that for being worn smooth they are not cracked or even chipped! You always hear the expression “if it could only talk”. After 41 years of selling single actions, I do wish this one could talk.
