Guns International #: 101060348
Seller's Inventory #: C13957
Colt Single Action Army Artillery Model .45 caliber revolver. Made in 1875. This is an artillery model, which means it started life as a 7½” gun. Issued to the cavalry and has matching numbers. The military reworked these guns and shortened the barrels to 5½” as well as refurbishing all of the parts. Since this required full disassembly, when these guns were refurbished, no attempt was made to match the serial numbers back up. This means this is a correct non-matching gun. Since then, the metal has been chromed plated and the grips were replaced. This is a real Colt Artillery model. Action works perfect.
