Description:
"Serial number 1189. Made circa late 1860s to early 1870s. 38 RF caliber with a 4.5" barrel. This is an excellent condition with 95%+ of the original blue. The frame and hammer have bright case colors. The grips are excellent with most of the original varnish. Colt Conversions were a way to use up percussion parts for the cartridge period. The civil war was transitional period where the percussion period was expiring and the cartridge period was replacing it. This is an unusual example with an octagon barrel. Most of these have round barrel. This is an excellent example!
