The barrel has been replaced with a later version, with the 1905 patent date. The barrel has 80% original blue finish. Receiver and all other metal parts have grey patina with traces of factory blue. Original wood grips have been sanded, the word ""Hippo"" carved on bottom of grips. . Overall condition is good. A rare and desirable single digit serial number U.S. military revolver.
