Description:
Nice, untouched and original ONE PIECE WOOD gripped, short barrel (4 3/4") .45cal nickel finish Colt single action revolver from 1886. Any 4 3/4" barrel, black powder Colt SAA with original one piece wood grips is scarce. A nickel finished one is even more scarce! This gun is completely original having never been cleaned or polished, or ever messed with. Excellent tight mechanics, all 4 clicks, nice original screws with most of them showing some fire blue still. All factory markings are very nice and clear. Very good to excellent bore. This gun also has a rarely seen military "overrun" D.F.C. inspected cylinder in it, used on some civilian shipped guns from about 1884-1887. (See "A Study of the Colt Single Action Army Revolver" by Graham, Kopec and Moore, pg 51). This is a nice old completely original, black powder gun that is hard to find, especially in this configuration! Please ask questions if desired. NO FFL required, unless you live in a place that requires one for transfer, NY,NJ, etc...Shippping is $35.00 which does include insurance to the lower 48 states.
