ANTIQUE COLT SAA .45 ARCHIVE LETTER
Description:
Sale Pending
Handsome, antique, Colt Single Action Army with archive record keeping error. Serial number 104413 matches on the frame, triggerguard and backstrap with the last four digits on the cylinder and on the barrel under the ejector housing. Comes with a Colt Archive letter that lists the features as .45/c caliber, 4 3/4" barrel, blue finish with stocks not listed. It was shipped to E.C. Meacham Arms Company in St. Louis, MO on December 22, 1883 in a shipment of 50 guns. This Colt is 100% original from the 7 1/2" barrel (correctly numbered, see photos) to the factory, wood grips with most of the original varnish. This type of error is not that unusual, I have seen several record keeping errors similar to this. The action functions flawlessly and the bore is good. The factory applied markings are all clear and crisp. There are nice areas of original factory blue throughout and traces of case colors in the protected areas. Price includes insurance and shipping to the continental United States where legal. A three day inspection is offered with full refund if returned unfired in the same condition. Buyer to pay return shipping. Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional photos. I would consider trades and all offers.
