Brooklyn Bridge Continental / Liege / Belgian .35 Brevet / Copy M1851 Colt Navy Revolver
Description: This is a very nice, age unkown European copy of a Colt M1851 Navy Revolver. It is a 5 shot model and is marked as a .35 caliber. The barrel is 6 1/4" long and the revolver is 12" overall. This one is marked as serial number 104637 and that number appears on the barrel assembly, frame, trigger guard, and butt strap. The cylinder has what is referred to as the "Brooklyn Bridge" scene and that scene looks to be nearly 100% there. There are multiple proofmarks but I do not see a maker's name. Proofmarks appear on the barrel, loading lever, the frame and cylinder. "PATENT SYSTEM" appears on the right side of the frame. The number "11" appears on the cylinder and loading lever. It appears the frame parts were silver plated originally and some of that silver is still visible. It appears the barrel and cylinder were blued originally and some of the bluing is still visible in varying degrees. .The single action mechanism works as it should. The bore displays nice rifling and will clean up quite well. The girps are good with only minor handling dings. The nipples are good and are still vented. Overall this is about as nice as you'll find one of these as they are usually pretty worn and non-functional. Layaway an option. Price: $695.00 Antique: Yes Contact Seller |
