Colt Model 1878 in the rare 32-20

Description:
Serial Number 48898 was produced in 1902. According to Wilkerson's book there were only 970 of these made in this caliber and only 261 made with the 7 1/2" barrel in blue. This one retains about 40% of its original blue with the rest turning a nice patina. The bore is bright with excellent rifeling. The action locks up tight as a drum. The grips have no cracks or chips and are turning brown. A very nice and original piece in a very rare and desirable caliber.
