Colt Richards Conversion, .44 C.F., 1860 Army
Description:
Numbered in the 200,xxx serial range of the 1860 Army Model, these .44 C.F. conversions were very popular as the first big bore, rear loading metallic cartridge Colt revolver. They were manufactured from 1872 until 1878, and were produced simultaniously with the 1873 Peacemaker, using up surplus parts from the percussion model of 1860, but were less expensive, $8.50 compared to $12.50. This gun is in remarkably good condition. It is tight and mechanically perfect, and retains about 70 to 80% of its original finish. All parts, including the varnished one piece walnut grips, are original to date of manufacture. The only blemish is the missing wood on the toe of the right grip, very small. Overall, an excellent example of this model. PRICE: $8,995 We are Antique & Modern Firearms in Lexington, KY, dealer of fine firearms since 1974. PH. 859-276-1419 We Buy, Sell and Trade Firearms & Knives. Have a Individual Firearm, Firearms Collection, or Firearms Estate to sell, let us know, we can buy or consignment sell it for you.
