Colt 1894 .38 Long Colt revolver. Made in 1895 and FFL classified as antique. Has a 6” barrel in .38 Colt Long Colt caliber. Great example of a Model 1894 with good bore and riflings. Significant original blue fading to a gray patina. Grips are good with moderate wear. Original case hardening visible on trigger. Action locks up perfectly. Frame, cylinder swing arm and crane, grip butt and cylinder all have matching numbers ad all numbers on this revolver match. Inspected by RAC and so stamped on the frame and cylinder.
Fully functional and shootable.
Model 1894 revolvers of this type were used by the military in several deployments including The Spanish American War (1898), The Mexican Border (1910-1919) wars with Pancho Vila and others, and the Philippine Insurrection (1899-1913) with the Moro Warriors where the .38 was replaced with the .45 caliber Model 1909 revolver and with shotguns.
