Colt Army Special .32-20 in display case with Deputy Sheriffs Badge and Colt Archive Letter. Badge is from Lake County ILL. (includes North Chicago area). Colt letter denotes issue in November 1926. This revolver is in very good shape snd rates about a 90%. Bluing is very good and all original.
This model revolver was used frequently as a police duty weapon during the 20's and 30's, possibly even later. Double action or single action can be employed. Colt changed the model name from Army Special to Official Police in 1927, but it was the same revolver. The 32-20 cartridge has been used somewhat for deer hunting and many times the revolver carried as a companion.
