Colt Commercial Model 1894 New Army & Navy Model Revolver
Description:
Serial #259612, .38 Long Colt, 6" barrel with an excellent, bright bore.
The metal surfaces of this 1906-made revolver retain 85-90% of the original bright blue, with silvering along the high and exposed edges, as well as around the cylinder.
The hammer and trigger retain much of their original brilliant fire blue, and have some traces of mild freckling too.
All markings remain crisp and clear including the circled Rampant Colt on the left side frame and the chambers are cut with shoulders.
The black checkered hard rubber grips are assembly numbered to the gun, and remain in very fine condition with a tiny chip at the heel of the left panel, and some flattening of the points.
The lock-up is a trifle loose, but the action is fully functional.
This is a fine example of a nice, early swing-out cylinder Colt.
