Description:
Presented here is a Colt New Army Model 1901 chambered in .38 Long Colt caliber. This revolver has matching numbers. This Revolver has a blade front and frame notch rear sight. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line Hartford address and patent date (1884-1895) markings with "COLT D.A. 38" on the left side. Inspected by R.A.C. (Rinaldo A. Carr). This revolver is in good overall condition with some play in the cylinder and a chip in the rear of the right grip panel. Proper markings on the butt of the grip. It looks like a lanyard loop existed at some point but has been filed down flush with the butt. This fine Colt would make a great addition to a collection of Colt branded militaria.
