Colt Single Action Army Revolver SAA .41 Long Colt 4.75” Barrel, Holster, Letter c. 1899
Description:
This Colt Single Action Army revolver SAA (serial #185145) was shipped to Simmons Hardware Company, St. Louis, Missouri, with 19 other guns, on April 15, 1899. It is blue and case colored, with 4.75” barrel, in .41 Colt caliber with hard rubber grips. The Colt retains about 80% of its original factory blue fairly obvious fading case colors. The cylinder probably shows the most wear, with one prominent spot of corrosion. It is mechanically sound with tight lock up, all four clicks matching serial numbers. The grips are also in very good condition.
The Colt comes in a medium heavy leather double Mexican loop, rawhide laced, shop made carved holster, and raw hide tie down. It is not maker marked.
