Exquisite 1st Generation Colt Single Action Army Revolver .45LC 7.5” Barrel c. 1921, with Box and Letter
Description:
This 1st generation Colt Single Action Army revolver SAA (serial #341937) was shipped to Henry & Carrington in care of H. D. Folsom, New York, New York, as a one-gun shipment on May 18, 1921. It is as shipped, blue and case color with 7.5” barrel, hard rubber grips and in .45 Long Colt caliber. It may be in a Colt shipping return box as there is a six pointed star on the right rear trigger guard bow indicating it was returned to the factory at some point for work.
This Colt is truly a fine specimen, showing 98% of it’s factory blue finish and hardly faded case colors. There is only a very slight turn line on the cylinder, and rubbed off blue on the muzzle tip and lower back strap. It is otherwise pristine. One rarely finds a Colt SAA over 100 years of age in such near mint condition.
