Rare Colt Boa Revolver 6” Barrel in Excellent Condition
Description:
Serial #BOA0598, .357 Magnum, 6” VR barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is an extremely rare revolver, one of only 600 made in this barrel length, and retains 99% of the original high lustre blue finish with only a faint hint of a turn-ring on the cylinder and some very mild silvering at the muzzle attesting to any use. The original checkered walnut, Colt medallion grips are likewise in excellent condition with virtually no handling marks or flattening of the points. The revolver is housed in its original woodgrain cardboard box (unnumbered) with styrofoam clamshell insert. Only 1,200 Boas were ever manufactured by Colt in 1985: 600 in 6”, 600 in 4”; with the entire production run purchased by Lew Horton Distributing Co. in Massachusetts. The revolver is visually similar to the legendary Python, but is built on Colt's Mk. V action.
