Description:
Standard configuration Colt King Cobra Stainless Steel revolver, made 1989, with 2.5" barrel, cal. .357 Magnum, SN: 2KC958, with orange/red ramp front sight and fully adjustable rear sight. The serial number "2KC958" is marked on the frame and crane while the left side of the barrel displays "KING COBRA" with a rampant Colt logo on the frame. The right side of the barrel is marked ".357 MAGNUM CARTRIDGE" with manufacturer address. Fitted with black rubber grips with gold Colt medallions. Complete with original factory box with yellow label showing model AA3020 (KING COBRA), matching serial number 2KC958, barrel length, finish and caliber to include instruction manuals and warranty information. Despite its outward similarity to the Colt Python, the King Cobra design is based upon an earlier Colt model, the venerable Trooper MK V, improved with the addition of a heavier-duty barrel, full barrel length ejection rod protection shroud, and a thicker solid rib on top of the barrel.
Condition:
Excellent, near new, with faint sharp edge wear on the front and rear sight. Cylinder ring barely visible. Comparable condition neoprene grips. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics. EXC literature. Generally G box with oil staining of Styrofoam inserts, sleeve with moderate shelf wear, 3/4 end flaps missing, taped repairs as imaged.
