Colt ~ Texas Sesquicentennial SAA ~ .45 LC
Description:
Based off of the Colt Sheriff's Model revolver, with gold inlay. This is a new unfired example of the "Texas Sesquicentennial" revolver that was retained by the Colt factory as a sample/ display pistol, and is documented in the accompanying Colt letter. On the left of the barrel, in script lettering, is "Texas Sesquicentennial/ 1836 - 1986" with an outline of the state next to it. On the right is an image of three longhorn steer and a mounted cowboy, with ".45" written beneath it. Also on the barrel are etched gold bands at the fore and rear. The unfluted cylinder is etched with the flag of Texas on one side, and the seal of the Republic of Texas on the opposite. On the top of the back strap is a front view of the Alamo, with "COME AND TAKE IT" written in gold down the strap. With the exception of the polished sides of the hammer, all metal on the gun is done in blue, with gold inlay and smooth two-piece grips. In Colt wood grain box numbered to gun, with papers and orange hanging tag.. .45 Colt
