Colt 1861 Army Factory Conversion, Cal. .44. Ser.195301
Description:
Colt 1861 Army Factory Conversion, Cal. .44. Ser.195301. This very old estate attic find is a really lovely example of the post Civil War Colt factory conversions.
The gun has a very pleasing smooth silver gray patina with a few very scattered light patches of surface pinpricks. All parts match. The cylinder face, chambers and the nipples have no real evidence of any use. The wooden grips have retained about 95-96% of the original factory lacquer. Other than some slight edge wear on the bottom, they are perfect. The gun indexes properly, locks up tight and functions perfectly. The bore is factory new. Mirror bright with razor sharp rifling. This is a real a real "Attic Queen".
These original Colt factory conversions are somewhat scarce good, investments and are a great addition to any collection. Modestly priced at...... $2895. Shipped
