"Colt Detective Special 1st Issue .38 Special (C17732)

Description:
"

Pre-war snubnose revolver made in 1941. Has the square butt frame, which was being made for U.S. government contract at the time. The gun is in excellent condition with about 98% original blue finish. The grips are excellent with a few handling marks. The bore and action are excellent. Comes with a factory letter stating the gun was used as a display gun in the Colt main offices until 1956, at which time it was sold. A beautiful gun with an interesting history.
