From my private collection I am offering a rare special piece for that person that wants what no else has in their collection! RARE 1 of 1 engraved 1950 Antique Nickel Colt Detective Special .38 Special revolver. This beautiful piece is wearing a set of genuine Mother of Pearl grips. It comes in a custom Colt Presentation case wearing a piano black finish with rich blue interior. Own something no one else like this rare piece! This has been kept in a humidity controlled vault. I hope I look this good when I am 76 years old!!

Nickel is hard to photograph as well as the colors in the pearl. I tried to change lighting in some photos to pick up more highlights or dull the reflection of the nickel so you could better see the intircate hand engraving but not sure I did a good job. The finish is called an antique nickel and is not as bright in person as it appears in picture #4 where I turned the lighting up brighter.

I do not want any unhappy buyers and hoping to gain serious collectors to stay in touch with in the future. Anyone wanting to return this rare revolver, must inspect the gun with the FFL dealer present as a witness during the entire inspection and before you take ownership and leave the dealer's location. The gun cannot be returned once it leaves the presence of the FFL receiving and inspecting the gun. It is impossible to know what someone does with a collectable piece once they leave and it makes returns difficult, especially if someone causes loss in value of the gun due to mishandling. I ask you please CALL ME with any concerns DURING the inspection. If it goes to VM for any reason, if you leave me a message I promise to call back quickly when I receive the message. Due to spam I do not chase or return "missed calls" without a voicemail. Any approved return must include every item in the original shipment in the EXACT condition as shipped and shown in the photos. Any changes to condition or missing items, would cause a denial of a return or a reduction in the amount returned based on changes in value when I receive the return! Subject to a 15% restocking fee if a buyer just changes their mind and the buyer is responsible for paying all fees including shipping in both directions, insurance and FFL fees on both ends of the transaction.

I will need shipping address information to calculate shipping and will split the UPS shipping costs with the buyer. No sales to California or any states with restrictions and/or extra steps needed for approval to ship the gun.
