SOLD WITH BUY NOW ACTIVATED. This is from my personal Colt collection and own for several years. I am not dealer. I may be listing more handguns from my private collection soon. This Colt Detective Special .38 Special is from the mid 60's in "collector's condition". The bluing is amazing with a faint turn line. I rate condition very high or I wouldn't have purchased it for my collection, but you decide from the close up detailed photos. I am not the original owner so cannot guarantee the round count. The condition of the light turn line, firing cone and cylinder lead me to believe it wasn't fired much and I personally have never fired it or even inserted a bullet into the gun. It was sold to me as "mint" and I have stord it in a humidity controlled vault ever since. I see no evidence of the normal blueing loss you would see on edges or the end of the barrel as if carried. The checkered wood grips with the Colt medallions are in beautiful condition. Please view all photos and enlarge them for close up views if necessary to judge for yourself. If you see ANYTHING in a photo that appears as a flaw in the blued finish, it is likely dust or lint when photographed with my IPhone so please ask me for an honest answer before deciding on condition. FOR EXAMPLE, I now see a small piece of white lint beside the cylinder release in one of the photos that could look like a scratch but it's only lint that wiped away. I see a few little white specs in some pictures which is also from the cloth I assume.
