Desirable new Colt Diamondback 38spc. 2 1/2" barrel. Blue with original box. Unfired, very, very faint bolt line on cyl. Some minor handling conditions; back-strap has a slightly dulled area. Serial # D1251. Early 1st year (1966). This Colt is the 250th Diamondback made; in all cals and configurations. Probably one of the first or the first 38spc. with 2 1/2" barrel (rare in the early years). A Colt letter might be very interesting. Ramp front sight and adjustable rear sight. Wide serrated hammer. Sharp checkering walnut grips; no dings or scratches. Some of the original packing cosmoline can be seen (attached pic's) in the flutes and protected areas. Also little bits of lint are in the photos. This Colt is unfired, see photo, but has been handled over the years (50). Action is perfect and the bore is a mirror.
