COLT Diamondback Revolver * .22 Long Rifle * 6" Barrel * Made in 1979 * Box and Papers
Description: Excellent Colt Diamondback, 6" Barrel, 22 Long Rifle, made in 1979 with original box and papers. This is another revolver that I purchased from my Boss' estate after he passed away. It was purchased by him in 1979. It looks to have been test fired. Like many of his guns, he would buy them, take them out and shoot a few rounds, and then put them on display in his gun & trophy room. The only ones that he would never shoot were the Colt SAAs. He also disliked shooting the magnum calibers. I would bet that this one has had less than 1 box of ammo put through it. It has a beautiful blued finish with excellent factory walnut checkered grips. It comes with the original box and papers although the box has some wear on it. The cylinder shows evidence of a very light cylinder ring. The bore is perfect. If you look closely at the photos, you can see some residue on the frame just ahead of the cylinder. I believe that could be removed but I did not want to try doing that and possibly scratch up the barrel. At first glance this revolver looks new, but I would rate it as 98-99%.
