1999 Vintage Colt Magnum Carry .357 Magnum Revolver w/ Original Box & Manual
*** Minty & RARE, Only Made For 1 Year! *** SOLD
Description:
Colt introduced the stainless steel Magnum Carry .357 Magnum revolver in 1999, the last new double-action revolver model developed by the Colt firm. The stainless steel Magnum Carry revolver was built on the SF-VI frame and featured a 2" inch barrel, a 6-shot fluted cylinder, and a factory-installed Hogue Mono-grip. This was the first small-frame revolver from Colt to be chambered in the .357 Magnum round, and required the top strap of the frame to be thickened to handle the pressures involved. The Magnum Carry uses the same transfer bar safety-ignition system as the other double-action guns from Colt made after 1969. The Magnum Carry quickly proved to be a very good self defense snub-nose revolver, but was discontinued before it had even been in production a full year because of the extreme financial troubles that Colt was in. The very limited number of Magnum Cary revolvers produced during that short production run makes this revolver a very sought-after and collectible gun today. This particular example is exceptionally clean and in excellent condition inside and out. The stainless steel is beautiful and looks like-new with only a few tiny handling marks visible only under extremely close inspection. As you can see from the pictures, this Magnum Carry is beautiful and does not have any bad spots or eyesores. The bore and the 6 cylinder chambers are mirror-bright and in perfect condition. The rifling still looks brand-new with sharp lands and grooves throughout. This Colt has obviously spent it's entire life in storage. The factory Hogue black rubber Mono-grip is in like-new condition as well, showing no wear or damage of any kind. The action on this Colt is in perfect time and all of the controls on the gun are in perfect working order. As mentioned in the title, this rare gun comes complete with it's original box and owner's manual. The box still has the original serial-numbered factory end-label intact and in exellent shape. If you have been looking for one of these rare and sought-after Magnum Carry Colts, here is your chance to get one that would be nearly impossible to upgrade from at a great price.
