Serial #523944, .38 Special, 6" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has a single small area of very mild freckling about 1/3 of the way back from the muzzle. This is a 1929-made gun that retains about 95-97% of the original factory blue finish with some scattered spots of surface freckling, a mild turn-ring, and silvering along some of the high edges and projections. The lock-up is tight and the action works flawlessly. The Colt medallion, checkered walnut grips rate fine condition with some scattered handling marks and some light flattening of the points. This is a very nice example of a desirable Army Special, and rates about fine condition overall. FFL or C&R
