Colt D.A. .38 M1892 6" in .38LC New Army & Navy Revolver
Description: Colt M1892 New Army & Navy Revolver date of manufacture 1902 specified by Colt’s serial number database, marked D.A. .38 with a 6” barrel, chambering the .38 Long Colt. The Colt Army & Navy was the first general issue double-action with a swing-out cylinder revolver used by the U.S. military. This M1892 shows modest signs of aging. The finish displays high edge wear and some minimal pitting. Note that the cylinder rotates counter counterclockwise so it possibly went back to the factory post-1908, or colts database is wrong. Bore is in good condition, slight fading. Action is still strong and tight. In good shape for its age. SOLD |
