For over a hundred years, the Fitz Special has been the epitome in self-defense revolvers. Fast, concealable, dependable are many of the reasons they remain in service today.
Capable of complete inconspicuous carry in the front pant or jacket pocket, in a waist or shoulder holster, nothing is as fast to action as a Fitz.
The Fitz Special was born in the 1920s, the era of Speakeasy's and gumshoes, when discretion was the better part of valor. Better to walk away, and always best to be first.
There are several options in considering a Fitz, the barrel length, type of sights, the grips and the full or half trigger guard, are but a few.
Historically a Fitz is designed to be as compact as possible, and the 1-1/2" to 2" barrel is considered optimal, though three inches and longer have all been done.
A shortened, rounded grip frame fitted with checkered walnut stocks, the hammer bobbed and a cut-away trigger guard capped with a snub-nose are all hallmarks of FitzGerald’s design, but in creating "The Perfect Fitz", the options are endless, based on the owner's preference.
More than two-hundred hours will go into one of our productions, as we take pride in creating each piece individually and uniquely for our clients, whom one day will pass it down to the next generation.
