Colt Model 1877 Thunderer Revolver
Description:
Serial #148837, .41 Colt, 4 1/2” barrel with a very good bore that has light freckling and pitting along its length. This is a 1904-made revolver that has an overall plum-brown patina with traces of the original blue remaining on the protected areas of the barrel, ejector rod housing, cylinder, and trigger guard. The frame was originally color case-hardening, but is now dark brown in color with some specks of pewter gray scattered here and there. The hammer retains visible amounts of the original bright fire blue with the balance turned to a lightly freckled plum-brown patina. The checkered hard rubber grips are in good-very good condition; intact but worn at the butt with general flattening of the points on both panels, and some scattered surface scratches. The mechanism is still tight and fully functional, and the revolver rates very good plus condition overall. FFL or C&R
